AIM Rope Access Takes on the Falkirk Wheel Abseil for Ocean Youth Trust Scotland!

21st of January, 2026

The AIM Rope Access team is gearing up for something a little different from our usual day at height we’re taking part in the Falkirk Wheel Abseil to support the incredible work of Ocean Youth Trust Scotland (OYT Scotland) on the 22nd March.

This event means a lot to us. One of our directors, Andrew Turnbull, has been a committed volunteer with Ocean Youth Trust Scotland for years. He regularly gives his time to take young people out on their sailing voyages and earned his Youth Work on the Waves certificate in 2024. His passion for helping young people build confidence, resilience and teamwork on the water has inspired the rest of the AIM team to get involved too.

For us, this isn’t just about rope skills, it’s about community. It’s about backing a charity that gives young people life‑changing opportunities, especially those who face challenges such as living in care, being young carers, or growing up in areas of deprivation or remote communities. OYT Scotland’s voyages genuinely transform lives, and we’re proud to support their mission.

By joining the Falkirk Wheel Abseil, we hope to raise awareness and encourage others to get behind OYT Scotland’s Knot Just A Fundraiser campaign, helping them replace vital equipment and continue their work for years to come.
