AIM Rope Access carried out specialist vegetation removal on the upper levels of St Andrew’s House in Edinburgh, working directly above Waverley Station in a highly sensitive and restricted environment. The structure had significant plant growth across ledges, walls and inaccessible areas, including small trees and deep‑rooted vegetation that posed a risk to both appearance and long‑term structural condition.
Using rope access allowed our team to reach all affected areas safely without scaffolding or disruption to the surrounding transport routes. The vegetation was removed carefully to prevent further damage, and all debris was cleared to leave the surfaces clean and stable for future maintenance.
This project highlights our ability to deliver complex high‑level works on critical infrastructure while maintaining strict safety standards and minimising impact on the public.
