AIM Rope Access was commissioned to carry out comprehensive inspections of high level telecommunication equipment at three of Scotland’s premier football stadiums: Ibrox Stadium, Celtic Park, and Hampden Park, home of the Scotland National Team.
Using advanced rope access techniques, our IRATA-certified technicians safely reached antenna structures located at significant height, eliminating the need for scaffolding or mechanical platforms and ensuring minimal disruption to stadium operations.
The scope of work included:
Visual and tactile inspection of antenna mounts, brackets, and cabling
Assessment of structural integrity and identification of any signs of wear, corrosion, or damage
Cleaning and preparation of exposed metal surfaces
Application of Denso tape to vulnerable areas to provide long-term corrosion protection and weatherproofing
Documentation of findings and recommendations for ongoing maintenance
This project highlights AIM Rope Access’s expertise in delivering precise, safety-critical inspection and maintenance services in complex environments. Our ability to operate efficiently at height makes us a trusted partner for infrastructure support across the sports and events sector.
