Our rope access team was recently called to the Carmyle Viaduct to perform vital maintenance. Over time, large amounts of driftwood had gathered at the base of a pier, posing a risk during high water levels and fast-flowing conditions.
Using specialist rope access techniques, our director was able to descend safely and remove the buildup of debris. This work reduces the risk of structural strain and minimises the potential for damage from waterborne obstructions.
Working directly over water and in variable river conditions, the job was completed efficiently and with minimal disruption—another example of AIM Rope Access delivering high-quality, practical solutions in hard-to-reach environments.
